Co-Ed Camps

Camp Highlander, Mills River, NC 828-891-7721, Located on Old Forge Mountain in Mills River, est. in 1957 now owned by Pine Crest Preparatory School in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Seeks to build boys and girls of courage, honest, integrity and faith. Wilderness, sports (including cheerleading and yoga), waterfront, horseback riding, arts, field trips and so much more.

Gwynn Valley, Brevard, NC 828-885-2900, Since 1935. Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains and offering a farm, wilderness and traditional program that nurtures the child while fostering a connection with the land the simple joys of childhood.


Girls Camps:

Camp Illahee, Brevard, NC 828-883-2181, a 90 year old camp, whose name means “heavenly World’ in Cherokee. Seeks to instill essential qualities that will serve these young girls all their lives: confidence, conviction integrity, faith in God and a respect for the wonders of the natural world.

Camp Kahdalea, Brevard, NC Located in Pisgah National Forest this girls’ camp is partnered with a boys camp just 1 mile away, Camp Chosatonga. Activities include sports, climbing walls, ropes course, riflery, and archer, arts and crafts, horseback riding, nature trails and more.

Camp Merrie-Woode, Sapphire, NC 828-743-3300 Sapphire, NC Est. 1919. Uses a stunning sanctuary environment to nurture the physical, intellectual and spiritual growth in their girls and young women. Offering sports, arts, performing arts, horseback riding, mountaineering, boating and swimming.

Keystone Camp, Brevard, NC 828-884-9125 Est. 1916, teaching campers life-long skills and values, offering archery, dance, water sports horsemanship, drama, golf cheerleading, yoga and more.

Rockbrook Camp, Brevard, NC 828-884-6151, Est. 1921

Providing a haven for girls, a place of their own, where they can explore the beauty of nature, try new things, enjoy carefree summer living and make great friends. Activities: archery, riflery, gymnastics, water sports, horsemanship, dance, drama golf, yoga and more.

Our boys are taught to appreciate the simplicity of life, values of human relations, wonders of nature, importance of self-reliance, respect for each other and our natural environment and the thrill of high adventure. Camp Chosatonga Balsam Grove, NC 828-884-3257 Est. 1861. Partnered with Camp Kahdalia girls’ camp and situated in Pisgah National Forest at about 3,000 ft. elevation. Activities: climging walks, Team sports, ropes, riflery archery, tennis, riding, outdoor adventures and more.

Camp High Rocks, Cedar Mountain, NC. 828-885-2153 A community where boys connect with the outdoors, each other, and most importantly, themselves.
